Administrative Core
PIs: Ana Navas-Acien, MD, PhD; Steve Chillrud, PhD
The Administrative Core serves as the central resource of the Columbia University Northern Plains Superfund Research Program (CUNP-SRP), a new center that will establish a partnership between scientists and tribal communities to advance science and technology to address groundwater contaminants and their related health effects in the Northern Plains. The Core will foster interdisciplinary collaboration, promote research translation, and facilitate career development of early-stage investigators, together ensuring that activities of the CUNP-SRP are both relevant and impactful. The Administrative Core will integrate Projects and Cores to ensure that the CUNP-SRP contributes to effective strategies to monitor water contaminants, facilitate their remediation, and mitigate their health effects in the target communities, at other contaminated Superfund sites, and for other at-risk populations.
