Policy

A major priority of SHIFT is to make sure that the knowledge we generate is actually useful in enhancing the campus climate. To do this we’ve used a Community-based Participatory Research (CBPR) approach, working with key stakeholders from the beginning, including administrators, faculty, and students. Ongoing dialogue with these groups will help us develop recommendations for cutting-edge, institutionally-appropriate policies to reduce sexual assault and other forms of gender-based misconduct in the Columbia and Barnard communities.
