Message from the Chair

Health systems around the world are in the midst of extraordinary transformations. Organizations that want to thrive in these evolving markets need employees with in-depth management and policy skills. HPM's professional non-degree programs are a hub that offers customized education to provide these skills.  We offer a wide menu of courses and sessions, have an experienced and talented cadre of faculty, and can deliver programs on the Columbia University campus or at a site on or near a client’s headquarters. 

Professional & Executive Education in HPM builds on the department’s vision of a better health system, one that is more efficient, more effective and more equitable. We work with organizations committed to the continuing education and professional development of their employees and are willing thought partners in the development and execution of executive education. We offer a number of stand-alone programs, including an innovative and unique health system leadership simulation, and also a 2-day workshop on using tools of behavioral economics in policy or management settings. We also will work with you to create a custom, non-degree program that selects those courses that meet the need of your organization, whether it be sessions on value-based payment, managing organizational change, or navigating the changing policy environment. Programs can be delivered in a variety of formats, including 2-3 day in-person sessions or longer programs with in-person and online components. HPM will work to curate a program that has an immediate and positive impact on your organization and employees.
