NYC Voices Community Film Festival

The NYC Voices Community Film Festival is now accepting submissions for our inaugural September 2026 event!

Presented by Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health FORWARD Community Engagement Action Corps and the Community Health Collaborative (CHEC), The NYC Voices Community Film Festival aims to encourage creativity in communicating about public health issues that are important to our local New York City communities through storytelling, digital media, and the belief that we all have a story to tell!  Above all else, the NYC Voices Community Film Festival aspires to be an opportunity to celebrate New York City community stories, showcase creativity and inspire one another.

This year's theme: Community Stories of Health and Hope

We are hoping to gather a wide variety of stories through an inclusive application process that may include (but is not limited to) social media content, short films, and other multimedia work that tackle the subjects that matter most to our communities.  Whether it's a student film, a personal narrative, or a research project, we want to hear from you! Learn more about NYC Voices Community Film Festival here
