  • U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service National Conservation Training Center,  “Scenario Planning Toward Climate Change Adaptation”: Target audience: natural resource managers, conservation professionals, and planners. This overview course will introduce the core elements of scenario planning and expose participants to a diversity of approaches and specific scenario development techniques that incorporate both qualitative and quantitative components. Offered twice per-year, $995, 36-hour course.

  • NOAA Office for Coastal Management, “Adaptation Planning for Coastal Communities”: Attend this course to gain a thorough grounding and practical skills for incorporating adaptation strategies into planning processes.

  • University of London, SOAS University of London, “Global Energy and Climate Policy”, Coursera: An introduction to the theoretical and practical understanding of how energy and climate change policies are designed, shaped, advocated and implemented. Free 13-hour course.

  • The University of Queensland, “Making Sense of Climate Science Denial”, edX: Learn to make sense of the science and to respond to climate change denial. Free 7-week course.

Focused or Region Specific

  • Maryland Leadership Climate Academy, Certified Climate Change Professional® (CC-P®) Credential Training Programs: Tailored for Maryland and the mid-Atlantic United States. Teaches participants integrate climate change into their decision-making and professional activities. Maryland focus. This program is designed to help participants build competencies to effectively integrate climate change into their decision-making and professional activities, as well as to advance their entrepreneurship and leadership skills. Leveraging a combination of on-demand online training resources and live online cohort training, this workshop series will prepare attendees for the CC-P® and CC-P® Candidate exams and satisfy most elective requirements for the credential.

  • The Yale School of Public Health, “Climate Change and Health Certificate”: GCCHE members receive a 10% tuition discount (please indicate if you are a member in the application). All components of the Climate Change and Health Certificate are online; there are no residential requirements. The program consists of three courses, each running 6 weeks. Cost $2000 (All three courses).
