Funding Opportunities

The Center for Achieving Resilience in Climate and Health (C-ARCH) would like to invite you to apply for two funding opportunities for summer 2026. Awardees will be notified by May 15, 2026

1. $2500 stipend to sponsor your Applied Practical Experience (APEx) or other practicum experience

This award will fund an APEx/practicum experience required by your master’s program in the summer of 2026. This award will support both research and solutions-oriented experiences in climate and health. 

Eligibility: We will accept applications from master’s students enrolled at the Mailman School of Public Health.

How to apply: Please send your 1) resume and 2) statement of intent (max 600 words) to Haruka Morita at hm2487@cumc.columbia.eduby COB on April 30, 2026. In your statement of intent, please state if you have other funding for APEx and the amount. Having additional funding will not affect your eligibility.

2) $1000 travel award

This award will find travel to attend a conference, training, or workshop

Eligibility: We will accept applications from doctoral students enrolled at the Mailman School of Public Health.
