We invite faculty, academics, and course coordinators at medical institutions to participate in a brief 5-15 minute survey assessing climate and health education in medical training.

Your participation, regardless of the presence or absence of climate and health education at your institution, is invaluable.

Developed by the Global Consortium on Climate and Health Education (GCCHE) at Columbia University, in collaboration with the World Federation for Medical Education, this survey informs a new indicator in the Lancet Countdown on Health and Climate Change and is essential in order to inform national, regional and global investment in climate and health education.

Call For National Lead Volunteers for 2026-2027 Survey

The Global Consortium on Climate and Health Education (GCCHE) is seeking National Leads to support the 2026 Lancet Countdown survey of climate and health education in public health and medical schools.

Role of National Leads

The primary responsibility of each National Lead will be to develop and execute a national survey distribution plan for public health and medical schools in their country.

Responsibilities will include:

Identifying public health and medical schools and relevant institutional contacts within the country.
Distributing the survey through appropriate national networks, professional associations, academic institutions, accreditation bodies, and other relevant channels.
Conducting targeted outreach to school leaders, deans, faculty members, curriculum directors, or other individuals who can provide an informed institutional response.
Sending follow-up communications and reminders during the survey period to encourage participation.
Identifying institutions, regions, or types of schools that may be underrepresented.
Providing periodic updates to the global survey team on dissemination activities, participation, challenges, and additional support needed.
