Research

Dr. Rausch’s research interests focus on the prevention and management of pediatric obesity and its long-term impact on health. He is interested in developing strategies for promoting universal evidence-based lifestyle changes that focus on prevention. He is further interested in the epidemiology of the development of obesity co-morbidities, including insulin resistance and diabetes, fatty liver disease, hypertension and dyslipidemias. He is focused on developing methods to screen for and manage co-morbidities, especially in busy clinical practices and acceptable to families most at risk for health disparities, particularly in a low income, Latino population.
