Faculty Awards 

 

Christine Mauro, Assistant Professor of Biostatistics, has received the MSPH Core Teaching Award for “Mind-set Intervention for a Graduate-Level Biostatistics Course: Research-based Strategies to Mitigate Threats to Academic Belonging” (with Leah Hooper, MSPH Senior Director of Educational Initiatives).   

Caleb Miles, Assistant Professor of Biostatistics, has received the Calderone Junior Faculty Development Award  for “Integrating data from studies with heterogeneous outcomes to estimate effects of cognitive remediation therapy”. This award supports research efforts initiated by full-time junior faculty members holding appointments in one of the departments at the Mailman School.  

Linda Valeri,  Assistant Professor of Biostatistics, will receive funding from the The Sanford Bolton Faculty Scholars Program, which supports distinguished assistant professors to catalyze their innovative methodological research in biostatistics and enhance its translational impact.   

Zhezhen Jin, Professor of Biostatistics, has been elected to be a Fellow of the IMS (Institute of Mathematical Statistics) and an elected member of the ISI (International Statistical Institute).  He has also been appointed Statistical Editor for JACC: Cardiovascular Imaging for 2022-27.  

Yuanjia Wang, Professor of Biostatistics, has been elected to be the Section Chair of Health Policy Statistics Section of the American Statistical Association.
