August 20 - August 23	Tuesday - Friday	Registration 2 for Fall 2024 courses (continuing students) Continuing Students must be registered for at least one course prior to the first day of each semester or be charged a late registration fee
August 23	Friday	International Student Orientation (for those students studying in the United States for the first time)
August 26 - August 29	Monday - Thursday	New Student Orientation
August 27 - August 30	Tuesday - Friday	Registration for Fall 2024 (new students) New Students must be registered for at least one course prior to the first day of each semester or be charged a late registration fee
September 2	Monday	NO CLASSES – Labor Day
September 3	Tuesday	Fall semester begins (Full semester and 1st quarter courses) First meeting of Full Term and 1st quarter Monday courses is Mon, September 9 Change of Program Period OPENS Add/drop courses via SSOL
September 13	Friday	Change of Program Period CLOSES Last day to add/drop courses via SSOL Last day to fully withdraw from semester with 100% tuition refund
September 20	Friday	Deadline to make changes to 1st quarter courses Last day to drop without UW grade Last day to change grading option
October 4	Friday	Deadline to make changes to full semester courses Last day to drop without UW grade Last day to change grading option
October 14	Monday	Deadline to reconcile Summer 2024 Incomplete Notations (INs)
October 14	Tuesday	Changes to 2nd quarter course registration begins Add/Drop for 2nd quarter courses re-opens via SSOL. Changes to 1st quarter and full semester courses are not permitted.
October 16	Wednesday	October degree conferral
October 21	Monday	1st quarter courses end Last class meetings of 1st quarter courses – Tues, October 15 to Mon, October 21
October 22	Tuesday	2nd quarter courses begin First class meeting of 2nd quarter Monday courses is Mon, October 28
October 27 - October 30	Sunday - Wednesday	American Public Health Association (APHA) Annual Meeting Classes meet as normal
November 1	Friday	1st quarter courses grades due (faculty)
November 5	Tuesday	NO CLASSES – Election Day
November 8	Friday	Deadline to make changes to 2nd quarter courses Last day to drop without UW grade Last day to change grading option
