The Global Consortium on Climate and Health Education is hosted by the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health and receives guidance and direction from an international Advisory Council and Coordinating Committee.
The Mailman School is home to the nation’s first program in climate and health in a school of public health. Mailman School faculty member Dr. Jeffrey Shaman leads the GCCHE. Dr. Shaman is Professor of Environmental Health Sciences and Director of the Mailman School’s Climate and Health Program. In addition, Mailman School faculty member Dr. Kim Knowlton, Assistant Professor in the Climate and Health Program, is an external faculty advisor for the GCCHE. Brittany Shea is the Project Director and oversees the day-to-day activities of the GCCHE.
