Overview

Dr. Kyle R. MacDonald is a pediatrics and public health physician and nonprofit executive specializing in child and adolescent health, substance use, and youth flourishing. He serves as the inaugural Chief Impact Officer at ETR (Education, Training, and Research Associates), a national nonprofit dedicated to improving the health of youth and communities by championing science. Kyle brings broad expertise in clinical pediatrics, qualitative research, national program management, state government consulting, and nonprofit leadership to his classroom, where he teaches Pediatric Population Health. Prior to ETR, he served as the inaugural Chief Science & Program Officer at the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, where he oversaw national initiatives at the intersection of health, education, and strategic partnership, collaborating with organizations such as the National Academies of Sciences, UnitedHealth Group, and the American Academy of Pediatrics. Kyle has led award-winning programs on the opioid overdose crisis at the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, and is the Past President of the Mailman Alumni Board.
