Overview
Katherine Garrett is a consultant on performance measurement and improvement for not-for-profit organizations and a writer on health care policy and quality. Ms. Garrett has over twenty years' experience in the health care industry including five years as program designer and lead strategist for the 22-facility New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation's Quality Management initiative. Ms. Garrett's recent clients include the Fire Department of the City of New York, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, United Health Group and the Smile Train.
Ms. Garrett is an adjunct lecturer in Health Policy and Management at the Columbia University School of Public Health where she teaches in the Executive M.P.H. program. She is also on the faculty of Columbia Business School's Institute for Not-for-Profit Management and has taught at the University of Reykjavik, Iceland and the Scuola Sant'Anna in Pisa, Italy. She has an M.B.A. in finance with distinction from New York University and a B.A. cum laude from Harvard.
