Linda P. Fried is ranked #566 in United States among World's Top Scientists

In Research.com's 2025 ranking of best scientists in the world, Linda Fried, MD, MPH, earned position 566 in United States and 976 in the world in recognition of her research. She was also distinguished with Research.com's 2025 Best Scientist Award.

Over the course of her career, Linda Fried's key contributions include defining frailty as a clinical syndrome and developing an intervention to prevent it. She co-founded Experience Corps to promote healthy aging while leveraging older adults' social capital for community benefit. Her work focuses on harnessing a "Third Demographic Dividend," enabling longer lives to benefit all ages by fostering active, generative roles for older adults.
