Improving the Public's Health by Teaching Public Health Law

The Center for Public Health Systems is excited to share news of this important webinar, to be held on Monday, July 20th. 

This webinar will: 
·  outline the importance of law in public health practice, including key legal concepts important for non-lawyers working in public health 
·  describe resources available for teaching public health law 
·  provide examples of integrating law and policy concepts into coursework addressing current public health competencies and knowledge areas 
 
The presentation will draw on lessons from faculty who developed and implemented courses through the “Teaching Public Health Law in Accredited Schools and Programs of Public Health” initiative led by Columbia Mailman School of Public Health and funded by the CDC. Speakers will include:
