Student Organizations

Like to get involved? Columbia Mailman students are among the most active and engaged students anywhere. Our dynamic community boasts dozens of student groups providing opportunities for leadership, service, and friendship.

Student organizations play a pivotal role in the life at Columbia Mailman. Groups such as Students for Environmental Action, Women 4 Women, Queer Health Taskforce, and many more, offer a chance to work closely with classmates, faculty, administrators, and organizations across the city to improve public health. On any given week, these groups bring noted public health practitioners to campus, host social and educational events, and arrange volunteer opportunities in the local community and beyond.

Columbia Mailman students also connect with student groups at Columbia's other graduate schools, including Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons’ Bard Hall Players, the Business School’s Healthcare Industry Association, and the annual Medical Center student production of The Vagina Monologues. Through these groups, students meet kindred spirits from across the University while participating in theatrical productions, conferences, and other activities.
