Our Students

Our students gain key competencies in advocating for ethics, social justice, and human rights; engaging with diverse communities while addressing power and privilege; designing and conducting scientifically sound, evidence-based research to improve both public health practice and policy; implementing data collection strategies in a broad range of resource-constrained local and global contexts; and developing viable, effective, and context-specific programs that address current and future health challenges.

Our Department has launched the careers of more than 2,000 public health changemakers around the world. These leaders form a vibrant global community of nonprofit pioneers, policymakers, academics, scientists, and health innovators—working on the frontlines to drive change and make lives better for all people everywhere.
