Privacy Policy
CCCEH respects your privacy. Information you provide for automated text messaging or emails sent through our Columbia-approved platforms, including your mobile phone number, email address, and communication preferences, will be used only for approved study-related communications and activities.
Text Messaging
If you agree to receive study text messages, messages sent from REDCap are delivered through Twilio, a text-messaging service. These messages may include appointment reminders, survey links, study updates, newsletter links, and other study information. The messages will not contain personally identifiable or sensitive study information.
Your mobile phone number and communication preferences will be used by authorized study staff and the platforms that support study text messaging. We do not sell your mobile phone number, consent to receive text messages, or other personal information, or share this information with other third parties or affiliates.
Contact information will be stored in secure databases in accordance with applicable Columbia University privacy and information-security requirements.
Terms and Conditions
By agreeing to receive automated messages through our Columbia-approved platforms, you may receive study-related communications, such as appointment reminders, questionnaire or survey links, study updates, and newsletter links.
Text Messaging
You may choose whether to receive study text messages during the study consent process, on a paper consent form or electronically through REDCap. Your choice about receiving text messages will not affect your participation in the study.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
You may stop study text messages at any time by replying STOP or asking study staff to stop contacting you by text. You may also ask us to stop contacting you through another particular method at any time without affecting your participation in the study.
