Digital Storytelling

Digital stories are multimedia movies that combine photographs, video, animation, sound, text, and a narrative voice. Digital storytelling can be a powerful, multi-dimensional tool for community-based public health program enrichment, strategic communication, and advocacy.

Led by instructors from the non-profit organization, StoryCenter, each year Mailman students participate in an intense digital storytelling workshop in which they share first-person narratives about their public health passions and/or experiences. They then turn these narratives into inspiring short videos that can be used for community mobilization, advocacy, and more. View digital stories from 2019, 20202021, 2022 and 2023.
