Imprints Center

The Imprints Center is dedicated to deepening our understanding of the origins and unfolding of health and disease over the life course.

Imprints faculty members are carrying out investigations in birth cohorts across the globe. Their participation ranges from lead investigator in cohort follow-up research, collaborator contributing specific expertise in follow-up efforts, to novel analyses of existing data.

The Imprints Center enhances opportunities for these projects to develop. We encourage interdisciplinary collaborations, interaction among researchers investigating a diversity of diseases, and advancement in research into methodologies specific to birth cohort study designs.

The Imprints Center for Genetic and Environmental Lifecourse Studies is a collaboration of the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University and the New York State Psychiatric Institute.
