Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health announces a call for abstracts for the 2015 Student Research Diversity Day (SRDD), which will be held on Friday, April 10th, 2015, from 12:30- 4pm in Room 532, 5th floor, Allan Rosenfield Building

SRDD 2015 highlights the diverse work of students at the Mailman School of Public Health. This is a fantastic opportunity to present your work to peers, colleagues, and faculty at the Mailman School.

Abstracts may be submitted for posters or oral presentations. Students are encouraged to submit abstracts on any current or past research or service activities developed with a faculty member; conducted as a research assistant; or based on a practicum, master's thesis, or doctoral dissertation. Abstracts also are welcomed from oral presentations or posters previously presented at scientific conferences. The Office of Student Affairs encourages recipients of the Mailman School Student Conference Travel Fund to participate in SRDD. Please note that professionally printed posters are not required.

Abstracts may be submitted on any topic including (but not limited to):
• Biostatistics/Research methods
• Environmental Health
• Epidemiology
• Health Policy
• Population and Family Health
• Social and Behavioral Factors in Health

Submission Details:
• The deadline for submission of abstracts is Tuesday, March 10 2015 at 5:00 pm.
• Include three keywords that best describe your abstract
• Abstracts should follow the traditional structure: Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
• Abstracts are limited to approximately 300 words
• All abstracts should be submitted through this link: http://bit.ly/1DFnb8p
• Submissions will be considered for an oral or poster presentation
• Presenters will be notified of their participation in SRDD 2015 by Monday, March 30th.

SRDD is hosted by the Initiative for Maximizing Student Development (IMSD) program, the Office of the Dean, the Office of Student Affairs, and the Office of Educational Programs.
