Pandemic Impact Fund

Many in our community have reached out to inquire how they can help advance our School’s work to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. We sincerely appreciate your support. Our School has established the Pandemic Impact Fund to provide immediate financial support that enables our researchers to quickly respond to pandemics, starting with the current COVID-19 pandemic.  Traditional funders, such as the National Institutes of Health, require researchers to submit lengthy grant applications and have a proposal review-to-award process that can take several months. By contrast, the Pandemic Impact Fund will be rapidly deployed to enable critical work, such as the development of COVID-19 diagnostics and treatments; data modeling to predict the spread and impact of the pandemic; and activities to map critical care capacity and vulnerable regions, among other efforts. Fund reserves will be used to support rapid response projects in the future.
